Surface based localisation first, with room to grow into wider infrastructure inspection.

Phonon is focused on replacing labour heavy acoustic logger workflows with a mobile, surface based leak localisation system. The same sensing approach also has potential in adjacent infrastructure inspection problems.

Surface based leak localisation

The primary application. Use synchronised acoustic measurement from the surface to pinpoint leaks directly, reducing the need for widespread logger deployment and manual second pass work.

Autonomous convoy in a night time urban street

Quiet hour autonomous surveying

Overnight and early morning operation aligns naturally with lower acoustic noise, lower water usage, and reduced demand for delivery robots and self driving taxis.

Future adjacent applications

The same approach may extend beyond water leaks into crack detection in concrete bridges and predictive identification of emerging road defects such as potholes.

Why this is different

Direct localisation instead of rough indication.

Traditional logger workflows are designed to narrow down the search. Phonon is designed to localise the leak itself from surface measurements, aiming to shorten the route from survey to excavation decision.
